Lil Wayne Announces The Release Of A New Album: “I Am Not A Human Being 2″ In The Summer of 2012

Lil Wayne’s label boss, Cash Money head Bryan “Birdman” Williams has announced that in the following months, Weezy will be releasing a new album titled “I Am Not A Human Being 2.” Of course  this will be the sequel to his previous LP, “I Am Not a Human Being”. Rumor has it that the new album is going to be out before the summer starts. But as we all know, rumors mean nothing in this business. So in case you were wondering why Lil’ Wayne’s been “quiet” these past few weeks, now you know that he’s been working hard on a new album.

In a recent interview with Complex, Birdman revealed the plans for 2012, as far as Young Money/Cash Money Records is concerned. Lil’ Wayne’s “I Am Not A Human Being 2″ is not the only major release we’re expecting. Nicki Minaj, Tyga and Bow Wow also have new LPs on the way. So it looks like this spring and summer is going to be a full one when it comes to rap albums.

Unfortunately, during the interview, Williams mentioned that the release date for Lil Wayne’s new album has not been settled yet. What he did say was that “Wayne’s got an album he’s about to drop real soon. Its called ‘I Am Not A Human Being 2′. It’s going to be before the summer for sure. We haven’t picked the date yet.”

Needless to say, 2012 will be a very busy year for Lil’ Wayne. As you all know, the rapper spent time in jail back in 2010, after being convicted for a gun charge. What might come as a surprise to you though is the fact that Weezy has decided to turn his memories from behind the bars of New York’s Rikers Island prison, into his first memoir, titled “Gone Till November”. The memoir is set for release on November 28th, 2012. So if you want to know how it was like for Lil Wayne to spend eight months in jail, all you have to do is wait till November and get the book.

On top of the release of his first memoir and a new album, Weezy will also collaborate with Williams on a new album. The LP will be titled “Like Father, Like Son 2.” The joint effort will be released after both Lil Wayne and Birdman have released their individual albums.
