Album Information:

“Letters from Birmingham” American Idol winner, Ruben Studdard’s fifth album. The 18-track LP was produced by Elvis “Blac Elvis” Williams, and a team composed of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Stargate, Teddy Riley, John Rich. Most of the songs were written by songwriter, Harold Lilly.

The title of the album was inspired by civil rights activist, Martin Luther King Jr. All of the songs on the album are R&B love songs which were formulated as letters, or love ballads. Some songs feature guest vocals from R&B singer K. Michelle and Chrisette Michele.
